Client Overview

Visit Gevgelija is a tourism-oriented platform designed to promote the city of Gevgelija by offering an integrated system for booking apartments and providing exclusive vouchers with discounts. Visitors receive vouchers for discounts ranging from 5% to 20% on services such as restaurants, coffee bars, dental reviews, car rentals, auto services, and even free casino tickets.

The main goal of the platform is to encourage reservations at the listed apartments, which unlock access to the vouchers.

Project Goals

Primary Goal: Drive apartment reservations as the gateway to unlocking discount vouchers.

Secondary Goals:

Empower the client to easily manage content and services through a robust CMS.

Simplify the user journey for exploring, booking, and redeeming services.

Create a visually appealing and functional platform optimized for user experience and SEO.

My Role

I played a pivotal role in bringing the Visit Gevgelija platform to life.

Included:

Wireframe Ideation: Designed the foundational structure for the website, aligning with business goals.

UX/UI Design: Crafted user-friendly, responsive designs in Figma, enhanced with Lottie animations.

Frontend Development: Built static pages using HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript, ensuring smooth performance.

WordPress Theme Development: Developed a custom WordPress theme with dynamic functionalities like custom post types, a review system, and flexible layouts via ACF Pro.

SEO Optimization: Created an SEO-friendly structure with optimized URLs and metadata.

Custom Features: Implemented an apartment booking system, voucher management, and popup forms for adding objects.

This end-to-end execution delivered a high-performing, visually appealing platform that meets both user and business needs.
