Spotivity is an app that let’s you see what music your friends are listening to. It brings the widely requested feature from the Spotify Desktop app to your phone.

A simple way to interact and connect with your friends through music. The main goal for the app was to let people make conversation and build relationships through common music taste.
The app currently has 50,000+ downloads on the Google Play Store and App Store.

Dark Mode for Spotivity
One of the most requested features for Spotivity. Reduce the strain on your eyes by viewing your friend activity with the all new, gorgeous dark theme.
The tech stack
Spotivity was built using React Native and Expo as a cross-platform mobile app. The website (spotivity.arhn.us) was built using NextJS and takes advantage of it’s server side rendering and API routes. The app interacts with the API deployed to Vercel for analytics.
