Project overview

OasisAmps is a peer-to-peer EV charging marketplace that connects electric vehicle drivers with private charging-station owners.
Drivers can discover nearby chargers, request a charging session, communicate with the host, reserve a suitable time, and complete payment through the platform. Charger owners can list their stations, manage requests, track earnings, and monetize unused charging capacity.
I worked on OasisAmps as a full-stack Bubble developer, building its marketplace logic, reservation workflows, payment system, referral program, mobile experience, and supporting backend functionality.

The problem

The availability of public EV charging stations is not always keeping pace with the growing number of electric vehicles. At the same time, many residential and privately owned chargers remain unused for much of the day.
OasisAmps was designed to connect those two sides:
EV drivers who need accessible nearby charging
Property owners who want to earn from their chargers
The platform needed to make private charging easy to discover, reserve, manage, and pay for while maintaining clear separation between drivers, hosts, transactions, and availability.

My role

I worked across the product as a full-stack Bubble developer.

The solution

I helped build a two-sided marketplace where drivers and charging-station owners can complete the entire charging journey inside one platform.
The primary user journey is:
Search for a nearby charger
Filter available stations
Review the charging option
Submit a booking request
Receive confirmation from the host
Communicate about arrival or access
Complete the charging session
Process payment and update earnings
Hosts can manage their chargers, availability, reservations, customers, earnings, and referral activity from their accounts.

Location-based charger discovery

I developed the map-based discovery experience that allows drivers to search for charging stations according to their location.
Users can:
Explore chargers on a map
Search near their current location
View all available stations
Manage their own stations
Filter by charging type
Filter by price
Open individual station information
Submit a charging request
The platform connects location data with the relevant station records, owner information, pricing, and availability.

Two-sided marketplace

OasisAmps supports two primary user roles:

The role-based system ensures users see the correct actions, records, and account information.

Booking and reservation workflow

I built the booking system connecting drivers with charger owners.
When a driver submits a charging request, the platform creates a reservation containing the selected charger, requested time, duration, driver, host, price, and current booking status.
The host can then review and respond to the request.
The booking lifecycle supports:
New requests
Pending reservations
Accepted bookings
Declined requests
Completed sessions
Cancelled reservations
Purchase history
Refund or dispute states
This gives both users a clear record of every interaction.

Built-in communication

Drivers and hosts need to coordinate arrival times, charger access, parking instructions, and session details.
I developed messaging functionality that allows users to communicate without leaving OasisAmps.
Messages are connected to the appropriate users and booking context, making it easier to coordinate an upcoming charging session.

Payments and transactions

I worked on the platform’s payment workflows so drivers could pay for charging sessions while hosts could track their earnings.
The system manages:
Customer payments
Charging-session pricing
Transaction records
Platform fees
Host earnings
Refund requests
Dispute states
Monthly payout calculations
Payment and payout histories
Payment-related access and data are separated between the driver, host, and administrative workflows.

Host earnings and payouts

Station owners can view the income generated through their chargers.
The system records completed sessions and calculates the appropriate earnings for each host. Payout-related workflows were structured so completed transactions could be grouped and processed according to the platform’s payout schedule.

Referral and commission system

I developed a referral system that allows users to promote OasisAmps and earn recurring commissions.
Each participant receives:
A unique referral identifier
A personalized referral link
A shareable QR code
Recruit tracking
Commission records
Referral earnings information
When a new user joins through a referral link, the referring user is connected to the new account.
The system can calculate an 8% monthly commission for qualifying referral activity and associate it with the correct referrer.

QR-code referral flow

To make offline promotion easier, I created QR codes for referral links.
The workflow includes:
Generate a unique referral ID
Build a personalized registration URL
Convert the URL into a QR code
Allow the user to share or display the code
Detect the referral when someone registers
Save the relationship between the accounts
Track resulting commission activity
This allows users and partners to promote OasisAmps online or in physical locations.

User account management

Users can manage important information from one account area, including:
Registration details
Payment details
Earnings
Purchases
Referrals
Profile information
Account deletion
Secure logout
Conditional access ensures that users only see information connected to their own accounts and activities.

Mobile application experience

OasisAmps was developed as a responsive Bubble application and prepared for mobile distribution using Twinr.
The mobile experience supports:
Location-based charger discovery
Marketplace browsing
Booking requests
Messaging
Account management
Earnings and referrals
Mobile-friendly navigation
Device-based referral detection
This allowed the existing Bubble product to be presented as a mobile application without rebuilding the entire platform in a separate native technology.

Marketplace expansion

The platform was structured to support more than charging stations.
The marketplace can also accommodate categories such as:

Home automation products
Vehicle rentals
EV-related services
This provides a foundation for expanding OasisAmps into a broader clean-energy and electric-mobility marketplace.

Backend workflows

The application required backend workflows to handle processes that should not depend on a user keeping a page open.
These included:
Booking status updates
Payment processing
Referral tracking
Commission calculations
Monthly payout preparation
Notifications
Refund handling
Transaction updates
User and device referral attribution
Backend workflows also helped keep financial and marketplace records consistent.

Privacy and security

Because OasisAmps manages user accounts, locations, reservations, payments, and earnings, privacy rules were an important part of the application.
The data structure was designed so that:
Drivers access their own requests and purchases
Hosts access bookings connected to their stations
Users access only their own account and payment information
Referral data is limited to authorized users
Administrative information remains protected
Sensitive operations run through controlled workflows

Every booking needed to remain connected to the correct driver, station, host, transaction, and status. Financial and referral activity also needed to remain traceable as bookings moved through their lifecycle.

The outcome

OasisAmps became a functional two-sided marketplace where EV drivers can find and reserve private charging stations while station owners can manage bookings and generate income from existing infrastructure.
The project demonstrates my ability to build complex Bubble marketplaces that combine location services, reservations, payments, communication, referral programs, role-based access, and mobile delivery.
