With the fast-paced life which many of us have, we often neglect our mental health. Here are my recommendations for 5 mental health apps you can use daily. It could be in the morning, on your daily commute or when you're winding down for the day. Not only have these apps been highly recommended, we have taken it a step further and tried them out for you.

How we feel

How We Feel is a free journal for your well-being created by scientists, designers, engineers, and psychologists. Over time, you will learn precise words to describe how you feel, spot trends and patterns, and practice simple strategies to regulate your emotions in healthy ways.

This app was designed for you to truly connect with how you are feeling. Something that we often neglect. This is done by giving you a selection of words, shapes and colours and you pick exactly how you feel for that time. It then gives you a short video to watch with a summary so you can reflect on your emotions. It is a great way to track your mood daily and to look back and see your mood pattern. You can do as many or as little check-ins as you want so it is an app that would fit perfectly into a busy lifestyle.

Structured

Split your day into small tasks and get a visual timeline of your day

This is a great way to plan your day and keep to time. Especially for someone who is on the go but wants that structure in their lives. The app allows one to schedule their day and tick off the task when completed. It also sends you notifications when a task is coming up and needs to be done.

Finch Care

Finch was started by 2 friends (Nino & Steph 🙇🏾‍♂️🙇🏻‍♀️) who struggled with anxiety and depression and found self-care challenging to stick with. We decided to build Finch hoping to make self-care fun and accessible after seeing many others share similar struggles.

A cute app where you raise your own Finch by completing self-care goals. Not only does it encourage mental wellness, but it teaches one the importance of setting goals and finishing them.

Sincerely

Get things off your chest anonymously. Receive 3 letters every night. Remember, you are never alone.

A way to vent about your day without people knowing who you are. You can choose to write about what you want or you can write on a daily prompt that the app gives you. Not only can you get great advice you could also help a stranger out by giving them advice on their problems. A fantastic app for the end of the day where one can reflect and it could lead to helping other people too.
