A client approached me to design a splash animation for their brand - KuundaTube. They already had a logo and a clear vision for the animation they wanted. My task was to bring this vision to life while adding a touch of creative flair to make the animation both engaging and memorable.

After discussing the client’s vision, I began crafting the splash animation. The client had a clear vision for what the animation was to look like. I also made another variation from the initial vision which was inspired by the Netflix intro animation.

I developed two variations of the animation:

The animation begins with the play icon glowing softly at the center.

The play icon flips horizontally, then slides to the right to reveal the word “Kuunda.”

The play icon flips back horizontally to its initial position, then the word “Tube” falls into place, in the play icon.

Once the full text "KuundaTube" is displayed, the word “Kuunda” compacts to form the shorthand logo, "KTube."

Taking inspiration from the Netflix intro, the animation starts with a blank screen for a few frames.

The play icon begins very zoomed in, creating a dramatic entry, then zooms out to its final position.

The play icon slides to the right to reveal the word “Kuunda.”

The rest of the sequence mirrors the first variation, with the word “Tube” falling into place and the final transformation to "KTube."

The client ultimately selected the second variation especially because of the zoom in inspiration. They appreciated how it added a layer of sophistication and energy to the animation.

To enhance the animation’s impact, the client created a custom sound file and requested its integration into the animation using Rive. The sound was carefully synced with the animation’s transitions to create a cohesive experience.

The final animation met and exceeded the client’s expectations. Key achievements included:

A polished animation that reflects Kuunda Tube’s brand identity.

Seamless sound integration that enhanced the animation’s engagement.

A satisfied client who appreciated the collaborative process and final deliverable.
