In this project, I designed a mobile recipe app aimed at simplifying the process of finding and preparing meals. The goal was to create an intuitive experience for users who want to eat healthier, learn to cook, or experiment with new recipes. By focusing on a clean UI and clear UX flow, I ensured the app would be both approachable and engaging for all types of users.

With many recipe apps already in the market, the challenge was to design a product that felt unique yet familiar—something that stood out without overwhelming users. The key was to make cooking feel accessible and enjoyable, especially for beginners and health-conscious individuals.

I began by conducting thorough research into existing recipe apps to understand the competitive landscape. This involved:

Through this, I uncovered that most users were overwhelmed by cluttered interfaces and lacked trust in random recipes. This informed my direction toward a cleaner, more trustworthy, and user-friendly solution.

The visual identity needed to feel modern, fresh, and approachable. I chose a fresh green color palette to evoke health, energy, and vitality, paired with lemon yellow accents and white for a clean, minimalist aesthetic.

Typography played a key role in the app's friendly tone. I selected GT Walsheim, a warm and inviting typeface, to enhance readability and add a human touch to the overall experience.

Intuitive navigation: Ensure users can quickly find recipes based on preferences or ingredients.

Healthy focus: Highlight recipes that support healthy eating habits.

Engaging UI: Use bright, friendly visuals and whitespace to create an enjoyable browsing experience.

Trust-building: Include ratings, reviews, and verified recipe sources.

The final product is a cohesive, visually appealing recipe app that makes healthy eating simple and fun. User feedback highlighted the app's friendly vibe and ease of use, especially the curated recipe recommendations and clean layout.
