Case Study Description: This project focused on building a high-converting Klaviyo email marketing system for a fitness and lifestyle Shopify brand, combining promotional email campaigns with structured email automation.
The brand had strong products and traffic, but their email marketing was underperforming. They were sending emails, but there was no real system behind it. No proper email flows, no lifecycle structure, and no conversion-focused design.
My goal was to turn their email marketing into a revenue-generating channel by combining strategic email campaigns, automation flows, and high-converting email design.

Challenges:
Before I stepped in, the brand was facing:
Poorly structured email campaigns with low engagement
No proper Klaviyo email flows like abandoned cart, welcome series, or retention flows
Weak promotional strategy during key sales periods like Black Friday
No audience segmentation, resulting in generic messaging
Email designs that didn’t guide users toward conversion
Heavy dependence on paid ads without leveraging email automation
They had attention, but no system to convert and retain customers.

Solutions:
I approached this from both campaign performance and automation structure.
1. Conversion-Focused Email Design I redesigned the email layout into a clean, structured format that guides the reader from awareness to action. Each section (as seen in the design) was built to highlight:
Product benefits
Lifestyle usage
Offers and urgency (like discounts and promotions)
Clear and repeated CTA placements
Everything was optimized for mobile and fast decision-making.

2. Promotional Email Campaign Strategy (Black Friday Focus) I created high-performing email campaigns around:
Early access offers
Limited-time discounts
Product bundles and highlights
Urgency-driven messaging
This helped position the brand strongly during sales periods while increasing conversions.

3. Klaviyo Email Automation Setup
I implemented core revenue-driving email flows:
Welcome Email Series for new subscribers
Abandoned Cart Flow to recover lost sales
Browse Abandonment Flow for engaged visitors
Post Purchase Flow to drive repeat purchases
Win-back Flow to reactivate inactive customers
Each flow was designed with clear messaging and conversion intent.

4. Audience Segmentation & Targeting
Instead of sending the same message to everyone, I segmented the audience based on:
Purchase history
Engagement behavior
Customer lifecycle stage
This allowed personalized email campaigns that improved engagement and conversions.

5. Email Marketing Optimization & A/B Testing
I introduced A/B testing across:
Subject lines
Email content
CTA placement
This helped continuously improve performance and refine the email marketing strategy.

Results:
After restructuring the Klaviyo email marketing system:
Email campaigns became more engaging and conversion-driven
Black Friday and promotional emails performed significantly better
Abandoned cart recovery improved through automation
Customer retention increased with post-purchase and win-back flows
Email marketing started contributing consistent revenue to the Shopify store
Overall dependency on paid ads reduced as email automation began driving sales
