iWatch needed a complete go-to-market and brand positioning strategy to support the launch and expansion of its smartwatch product into the Canadian market. The brand was entering a highly competitive wearable technology space dominated by established players such as Apple, Samsung, Fitbit, and Garmin, and needed a way to differentiate itself with a stronger lifestyle identity and social-first marketing approach. The goal was to build awareness among Gen Z consumers, establish a recognizable brand presence, and create a scalable Instagram-led growth strategy that could drive engagement, visibility, and long-term community growth.
I developed the brand's go-to-market strategy, positioning framework, audience personas, messaging architecture, and Instagram-first launch plan. I conducted competitor and market research focused on Canadian consumer behavior, wearable tech trends, Gen Z purchasing habits, and regional audience targeting across major Canadian cities. I also developed the brand messaging, tone of voice, content strategy, influencer approach, Meta advertising framework, engagement strategy, and launch recommendations. In addition, I provided guidance on storytelling, community-building, and social content direction to help position iWatch as a more lifestyle-driven and accessible alternative within the smartwatch market.
The final deliverable was a comprehensive strategic launch blueprint that gave the client a scalable roadmap for entering the Canadian market with a clear audience strategy, differentiated brand positioning, and social-first acquisition approach. The strategy established the foundation for localized campaigns, influencer partnerships, short-form content production, community engagement, and long-term brand growth. It also helped define a stronger emotional positioning for the brand around fashion, affordability, lifestyle, and modern wearable technology.
