Problem:
Waste management faces major challenges such as high emissions, low recycling rates, lack of information, and unoptimized collection processes. This inefficiency leads to increased landfill use and environmental degradation.
Solution:
Introducing "Bintelligent," a smart waste segregation system that utilizes Relay sensor technology for data-driven waste collection. This system not only measures receptacle fill levels for more efficient collection but also gathers street-level data to help reduce CO2 emissions, improve public health, and enhance environmental equity. The accuracy at which we are segregating the waste is 93%
Impact:
The implementation of Bintelligent can significantly increase recycling rates (potentially doubling them), lower emissions, provide abundant information for better waste management, and optimize collection routes and methods. This initiative could lead to substantial environmental improvements while promoting sustainable practices in waste management across multiple sectors, including educational institutions, business parks, and communities.
