Nourish x Noir – Elevated Brand & Packaging for Skincare Studio

Nourish x Noir is a Black-owned skincare studio, created to celebrate and care for melanin-rich skin. The founder needed a visual identity and packaging system that felt luxurious, modern, and inclusive, something that would look just as strong on a product shelf as it does on social media.
I crafted a cohesive brand identity, packaging, and digital touchpoints that position Nourish x Noir as a premium, community-centered skincare studio.

Challenge

Nourish x Noir aimed to enter the market with more than just “pretty packaging.” The brand needed:
A logo and visual system that felt high-end but approachable
Packaging that could scale across different product lines
Social and digital assets that would attract a diverse, skincare-loving audience
A brand world that clearly signaled “Black-owned, modern, and professional”

Approach

I treated the project like a full brand launch, designing visuals that could live across print, packaging, and digital:
Built a logo system centered on an elegant wordmark and monogram that feel timeless and editorial.
Chose a color palette of soft lilacs, rich teals, and a punchy coral to balance calm skincare vibes with bold personality.
Defined typography that pairs a refined serif with a clean sans-serif for marketing copy and UI elements.
Designed packaging concepts for products like body butters and masks, with layouts that highlight ingredients and ritual.
Created social and marketing mockups (IG story, banner, hero layouts) to show how the brand shows up online.
Developed an app icon & digital tiles to future-proof the brand for a potential studio app or booking experience.

Design Highlights

Hero campaign imagery featuring diverse models with natural glow, reinforcing inclusivity and trust.
Street poster mockup to position Nourish x Noir as a real, physical presence in the city.
Modular packaging grid system so new scents and formulas can be added without redesigning from scratch.
Business cards and touchpoint designs that give the founder a polished, studio-level presentation.

Outcome

The final brand system gives Nourish x Noir:
A clear, recognizable identity that stands out in a crowded skincare market.
Packaging-ready designs that can be handed directly to manufacturers.
Social and digital assets that make the brand feel established from day one.
A visual language that celebrates Black beauty while appealing to a wide audience of skincare lovers.
