Why This Project Is Very Nurturing for Me

This project was particularly nurturing because it marked the first time I had the chance to team up with other creatives, such as videographers. Collaborating with them made the entire process even more inspiring, and I can’t wait for more opportunities like this in the future!

What Is The Moving Concierge™ and Who Is the Client?

The Moving Concierge™ (MC) is a luxury, white glove home tailoring service based in California. The company offers personalized solutions that transform homes efficiently and cost-effectively, handling every detail from furniture arrangement to light fixtures. This allows clients to enjoy a stress-free moving experience while maintaining their daily routine and focusing on what matters most.

My Client

My client is incredibly special to me. Not only is she kind and wholehearted, but when I sent her the initial concept presentations, she offered to extend the custom illustration system herself. I was thrilled!

She hand-drew the illustrations, and I converted them into SVG files and used throughout the brand identity and website. These doodles became an integral part of the final design, adding a unique and personal touch to the identity that made it truly special.

How Did She Reach Out to Me?

She reached out to me with the kindest words: "I love your portfolio. You create websites that give a good sense of the brand they represent, which is exactly what I'm hoping to find!" Naturally, I was thrilled and excited by her interest in working together.

Meeting with the Client

My client wanted the brand to (as from her words) feel modern Americana : young, natural, and classic. To develop this vision, I took a lot of walks, inspired by David Lynch/ It was after hearing about his loss at that time, which had a big impact on me. It helped me dive deeper into combining these emotions visually while I was working on the concepts and website. I guess you could say I caught the big fish.I believe I managed to blend them successfully by looking at the project from three different angles during concept development.
Additionally, she wanted to keep the logo (which is actually an icon) intact but felt the visual identity needed a refresh. The logo mark was to remain, but each new logo needed to convey three distinct stories within different concepts.

The Brand Identity Concepts Have Their Own Universe

For this project, I created three different brand identity directions, each with its own distinct universe and story. My goal was to ensure that each concept was infused with a sense of “fun and TV show experience” in different ways: through playful doodles or an eclectic yet elegant handwritten font.

Web Design

The website was built using Framer.

Low Fidelity Wireframes + Site Map

Before diving into the visual design, I started with low fidelity wireframes and sitemap . These simple, black-and-white layouts helped me map out the core structure of the website, focusing purely on user flow, functionality, and content hierarchy.
She had many thing in mind for the copy. So, starting with site map and copy was the best way to solve problems that can occur.

The goal here was to ensure an intuitive and seamless experience without getting distracted by visuals. Because there were many!! This stage allowed for quick feedback and early adjustments before we moved on.

High Fidelity Wireframes

Once the structure was set, I continued to high fidelity wireframes. This stage incorporated branding elements like typography, color schemes, and imagery. With a large number of photos provided, I carefully curated them to ensure each section felt purposeful and visually balanced, in line with the brand identity.
We collaborated a lot! It was literally a virtual workshop.

Pixel Perfect Development
After finalizing the design, the next step was pixel-perfect development.

Every detail spacing, typography and responsive layouts was carefully reviewed and refined to ensure it matched the vision.

One of the biggest challenges came with the Showcase Projects (Lookbook).
Although my client loved the overall site, she wasn’t fully satisfied with how this section turned out.
The section was meant to showcase client homes, services offered, home drone videos, before-and-after photos, and project timelines. Each with different types of resources. Also, each visual focus was taken into consideration so that they are visible in any kind of medium. This was the hardest part. I chose each of them one by one, made edits, tweaks, giffs.
I restructured the CMS layout from scratch in Framer. The goal was to create an editorial-style experience that could flexibly showcase each project’s unique assets; whether a fast walkthrough video, drone footage, or before-and-after transformations.
keeping the visual focus and creating the CMS layout took the most time.

I carefully analyzed the content files, designed a flexible CMS layout, and optimized it for SEO. Although this was a complex and challenging part of the project, it was essential for both user experience and SEO performance.
