Event Platform — Juste Debout

Client: Juste Debout (Paris)

Dates: January – March 2024

Role: Full-stack Developer (freelance, full build from client-supplied Figma designs)

Summary: Bespoke multilingual WordPress event platform: filterable programme, ticketing and GSAP motion.

Context: Juste Debout is one of the world's biggest street dance events, with international battles across Hip Hop, Popping, House, Locking and more. The designs were supplied in Figma, and I took them to a full build: a bold, motion-heavy site that sells tickets and packs and runs the full event programme. (The Juste Debout School site was a separate project in 2022.)

What I delivered:

A bespoke WordPress platform built pixel-perfect from Figma, bilingual (EN/FR)

A CMS-driven event week programme, filterable by category (competitions, workshops, conferences, parties) and by date

Ticketing journeys and ticket packs, from the programme straight to purchase

Hosts, jury and dancer showcases, editable from the admin

A news section and newsletter sign-up

Reusable custom CMS blocks so the team builds new pages and event editions themselves

Animated, scroll-driven GSAP design matching the event's visual identity

Responsive build, performance, accessibility and maintainable code

Technologies: WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, GSAP, SCSS, Figma
