Editing of Desola's Book: Out of the Box

Covid is that nightmare you are not sure about, real or imagined? It twisted through our society, pulling at every part of it, fracturing lives and hopes. We all felt it, all experienced it, but we didn't all document it. Des did. In his book, an exploration of faith, societal trauma, and emerging personal identity, Desola opens a window into his unique life and perspective. I had the honor of editing that book. Here is a sample from Out of the Box.

God knew at that time in my life that some of the choices I was making were immature and not the smartest, but He also knew I needed to face some of (those) these challenges in order to learn the hidden lessons behind them. These lessons have set me on a path to expand and grow in a way (ways) that I may not have, if I hadn’t gone through them. I mention this mostly in My Testimony, but when I went through ‘My Own Test’, that’s when I knew everything that I thought I had under control or that I could handle without God’s help was (far too much for me to manage … alone). not the case in the slightest bit.
