Brian had an idea to start a wooden toy company specializing in Montessori toys, but he had no idea how to create the brand behind his vision that would stand out against the competition, or even what to call the company. He approached me and together we came up with Cogneato - playing on the fact that the toys stimulate a child's cognitive thinking, but also we wanted the brand to portray a sense of joyfulness, vibrancy, and transparency. The total opposite of being incognito.
