This project was a destination + city guide website for Belmont, built to help visitors quickly plan their trip and discover what the city offers, things to do, events, stays, food & drink, and weddings (Belmont Brides).
The experience is designed to feel like a “one-stop hub” where users can browse featured content, explore categories, and find what’s happening through a dedicated events section.
It also includes deeper storytelling pages (like Belmont’s history) and practical trip-planning content, all aimed at turning browsing into real-world actions like planning a visit, exploring events, and discovering local places.
Tech Review
I developed the website in WordPress with a setup built for easy client editing and structured content (so the team can keep it updated without technical help).
Key build highlights:
WordPress + Elementor Pro for flexible page building and responsive layouts
Custom Post Types for structured content like:
Events (managed separately from pages/posts)
Places (to organize locations and attractions cleanly)
Crocoblock plugins to create beautiful timeline and support dynamic listing layouts, filtering, and template-driven content
Fully mobile responsive across homepage, archives, and detail pages (events, places, and story pages)
The Events Calendar Pro to power event scheduling, event listings, and calendar-based browsing
Elementor Mega Menu to create a clean, scalable navigation system for a content-heavy website
The end result is a clear, easy-to-use website that helps people explore Belmont while allowing the team to keep content fresh and up to date with ease.
