Zona Colonial is a premier destination for cultural, historical, and adventure experiences in Santo Domingo. The goal of this project was to design and develop a seamless online booking platform that connects travelers with top-rated experiences and event venues.

As a Full Stack Developer & Designer, I led the project from UI/UX design in Figma to full development using WordPress, WooCommerce, and Elementor Pro. The result is a visually engaging and high-performing platform that simplifies discovering, booking, and managing experiences.

The main objectives of the Zona Colonial platform were:

✔ Create an engaging and user-friendly experience – A visually immersive design that highlights Santo Domingo’s cultural and adventure experiences.

✔ Build an intuitive booking system – A WooCommerce-powered booking solution with real-time availability and a seamless checkout process.

✔ Improve user navigation – Simplifying the browsing experience with categories, interactive location maps, and intuitive filters.

✔ Enhance credibility – Implementing user-generated reviews, ratings, and social proof to build trust.

✔ Optimize for mobile and performance – Ensuring smooth navigation, fast loading times, and a responsive layout across all devices.

✔ UI/UX in Figma – Designed a clean, modern interface with high-quality visuals, intuitive navigation, and conversion-focused layout.

✔ WordPress + WooCommerce – Built with WooCommerce for booking, Elementor Pro for flexibility, and performance optimizations for fast loading.

✔ Customizations & Integrations – Added custom CSS/JS, Google Maps API, Mailchimp, and SEO enhancements for a seamless experience.

This project was a perfect blend of design, development, and business strategy, creating an online booking experience that drives revenue while offering travelers a seamless experience.
