Project Overview
Spec work: Craft a story email for Jaelyn Brunson’s brand. Jaelyn is a YouTuber, women’s embodiment mentor, and retreat leader.
Audience: Spiritually-minded women (22–40) who are invested in personal growth and creating a life of greater ease.
Goal: Build trust, deepen connection, and prime the audience for the sales push before enrollment opens.
Email type: Nurture / relationship-building sequence
Strategy
The voice stays personal, as if it were a journal entry she decided to send. This is really important for her audience. The email offers a genuine teaching lesson and funnels to her youtube content.

Full Email Body:
This morning, I checked my inbox, and my whole day was shifted.
All because of a single message…
I don’t hear this talked about enough, [name].
Receiving doesn’t always look like big, dramatic breakthroughs.
It can be more subtle than that. Almost easy to miss.
Like what happened today.
I gave myself the luxury of taking care of myself before my business.
I did my skincare. Journaled.
Ate my fave breakfast in my sunlit villa in Ubud, Bali- poached eggs and avo.
Not expecting much, I then checked my email inbox, where a surprise was waiting for me.
At the top of my inbox sat a new message.
It was a message from a businesswoman I’ve admired for years.
I considered her a mentor for the longest time.
I never felt confident enough to reach out to her.
And here she was, emailing me first.
In her email, she told me, “You have no idea how much your videos mean to me.”
She even suggested we meet up sometime and connect IRL!
Former me would never believe it could be that simple.
That’s when it clicked.
Praise came to me without effort or trying hard to position myself for it.
And for a moment, I almost brushed past it.
Because a part of me was so used to earning what I wanted in a bigger way.
Always doing a little more, giving a little more, trying to make myself undeniable.
And still wondering why it didn’t feel like I was being fully received.
This felt refreshing.
It reminded me that receiving isn’t always in familiar ways at first…
I know so many women are navigating this right now.
Maybe you are too.
You’re allowed to receive praise just by being yourself.
Sometimes, the right people and opportunities will find you by surprise.
