Rebranding a Creator Platform's Instagram into a Feed That Creators Actually Wanted to Follow

Overview

Fohr is a creator marketing platform connecting over 50,000 creators with some of the world's biggest brands. While the platform itself had strong credibility and an impressive client roster, its Instagram presence wasn't reflecting that.
The content leaned heavily on statistics and platform updates presented in a corporate way, making the feed feel more like a software company than a brand built for creators.
The goal wasn't simply to make the feed prettier. It was to redesign the entire visual system so the brand felt relevant within today's creator economy.

The Challenge

Fohr faced two key challenges:
Their Instagram aesthetic wasn't resonating with creators despite having valuable content.
As a technology platform, they had very little original photography or lifestyle content to work with.
Without a strong visual system, every post felt disconnected, making it difficult to build excitement around the platform or create a recognizable brand identity.

My Approach

Rather than designing individual posts, I built a scalable content system that could evolve with the brand.
The strategy focused on making the feed feel native to the creator space: less corporate, more editorial, and aligned with the visual language influencers are already consuming every day.
To achieve this, I:
Redesigned the Instagram grid with a modern creator-first aesthetic.
Created reusable templates across every major content pillar.
Built a curated library of lifestyle imagery that reflected Fohr's audience.
Established a consistent visual hierarchy that made educational content feel engaging instead of overwhelming.

Content System

Rather than designing individual assets, I developed a scalable content system that Fohr's team could use long after the initial redesign. The goal was to create a cohesive visual language across both static posts and Reels while making content production faster and more consistent.

Static Templates

I created a library of reusable templates across Fohr's key content pillars, including:
Creator spotlights
Brand partnership announcements
Industry statistics
Platform education & feature walkthroughs
Q&A content
Creator economy insights
PR & company news

Reel Frameworks

To complement the redesigned grid, I also created a series of reusable Reel templates for recurring content, including:
Creator spotlights
Brand partnership highlights
Founder insights and educational content
Company events and behind-the-scenes content
Platform updates and announcements
Together, these assets gave Fohr a flexible toolkit that enabled the team to produce polished, on-brand content efficiently while maintaining a consistent creator-first identity across both static and video formats.

Solving the Content Problem

One of the biggest obstacles was that Fohr simply didn't have much visual content.
Unlike a fashion or lifestyle brand, there weren't endless photoshoots to pull from.
To solve this, I curated a comprehensive library of creator-inspired lifestyle imagery that matched the platform's audience and aesthetic.
This gave the team a consistent visual language they could use across educational posts, announcements, and editorial-style content without relying on constant custom photography.

Deliverables

Instagram visual rebrand
Creator-first grid redesign
Reusable social media template library
Content pillar system
Curated lifestyle image library
Brand-consistent design system for future content creation

Outcome

The result was a scalable social media system that transformed Fohr's Instagram from a collection of disconnected posts into a cohesive creator brand.
Instead of redesigning every post from scratch, the internal team could quickly produce on-brand content using a flexible template library, while maintaining a polished, editorial aesthetic that better reflected the creators and brands the platform serves.
