Learn to Code for Free

Madi Pignetti

Coding is becoming more and more important in our digital world πŸ’» and I have news for you -- it's easier to learn than it seems, and it can be free to learn too, with these resources!

1. Codecademy πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ“

Codecademy was a pioneer of learning to code for free. Their catalog has so many courses from Web Development to Data Science. We recommend taking their quiz to see what course is right for you.
Skillcrush's bootcamp is great for anyone without previous tech knowledge. Their bootcamp starts from the beginning and goes over HTML & CSS, as well as design fundamentals, so you can get an idea of all of the different fields that make up web development 🌐

3. freecodecamp ⛺️

Freecodecamp can take you from never-programmed-before to tech job, like they've done for 40,000 other people. They have 10 courses to choose from, that all end in you getting a certificate. These are no joke though -- each certificate requires about 300 hours of work πŸ’»

4. Frontend Practice πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»

Once you have frontend fundamentals down, Frontend Practice gives you fun challenges on how to take your skills to the next level. Whether that is by recreating Ableton's About page, or creating a magazine archive, you're sure to strengthen your web coding skills πŸ’₯
