John Dias Tattoos — Portfolio Website for a Tattoo Artist in Charlotte, NC

Bold personal website for a Brazilian tattoo artist bringing blackwork, realism, and anime art to the U.S.

John Dias is a Brazilian tattoo artist now working in Charlotte, North Carolina. Even though his work is strong, unique, and highly detailed, he didn’t have a website — everything lived on Instagram. He needed a clean, bold place to show his best tattoos and let people book an appointment easily.
This was his first website, so the entire project was built from scratch. I helped him with the design, the copy, the image selection, and all the decisions that shape a personal brand online.

“I had no idea how to build a website. Lucas guided me through everything — design, images, structure — and the final site finally shows my style. People are booking through the website already.” -- John Dias

The Challenge

John didn’t have a digital home for his work. No structure, no way to browse his tattoos, and no simple way to book an appointment.
He also didn’t know how to organize a website, what to write, or how to choose the right images. My job was not only to build the site — but to teach him how to show his art in a professional way.

The Approach

I created a bold, high-contrast, image-first website using Webflow.
Everything in the design points back to the tattoo work:
dark, editorial tone
big, bold typography
red/black palette from his original branding
no icons, no illustrations — only real tattoos
simple pages: Home, Portfolio, and Contact
fast gallery browsing powered by Webflow CMS
I also helped him select images, refine quality, choose featured work, and understand how to present himself as a solo artist (not a studio).

The Solution

The website is simple on purpose:
a strong hero featuring his picture and diving into his best pieces
a curated gallery on the homepage
a full portfolio page with CMS filters
a clean contact form for bookings
sections explaining his style and background
built in Webflow so he can update everything on his own
Visitors can now see his style immediately — realism, blackwork, anime pieces — and understand what makes him unique.

The Outcome

The new site finally gives John a real online presence.
Now he:
receives booking messages directly through the site
updates all tattoo images himself using Webflow CMS
has a professional portfolio he can share anywhere
presents himself as an artist, not “just another profile on Instagram”
This website is his foundation. As he grows, we’ll add testimonials, case studies, and more advanced work.
