Introduction

As a graphic designer, I had the privilege of leading the visual communication for "È L’Italia che vogliamo", a project dedicated to raising awareness and providing essential resources for the LGBTIQ+ community in Italy. My role encompassed the entire static graphic design component, ensuring a cohesive and impactful visual identity across all materials. While the promotional video incorporated some of my graphics, my primary contribution was crafting the campaign’s visual storytelling through static elements.
About the Project
"È L’Italia che vogliamo" is an initiative by Gaynet, in collaboration with ARCO and funded by UNAR through the European Social Fund (PON Inclusion 2014-2020). The campaign introduced the first interactive map of LGBTIQ+ Anti-Discrimination Centers and Shelter Homes in Italy, providing a crucial tool for those seeking psychological, legal, medical, and social support.
The project was built on a powerful narrative, highlighting real-life professionals and volunteers who dedicate their work to fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. The campaign’s visual identity needed to reflect solidarity, resilience, and empowerment, making design a fundamental aspect of its success.
My Role as a Graphic Designer
I was solely responsible for the creation of all static graphic materials, including: Branding & Visual Identity – Establishing a cohesive look for the campaign. Social Media Graphics – Engaging visuals for the campaign’s online presence. Informational Infographics – Simplifying complex data into digestible visuals. Print Materials – Posters, flyers, and banners to support outreach efforts. Digital Assets – Graphics used in the promotional video and website.
Every design choice aimed to enhance clarity, emotional impact, and accessibility, ensuring that the message reached both direct beneficiaries and a broader audience of allies, educators, and organizations.
Impact & Recognition
The campaign successfully raised awareness and expanded the visibility of essential support structures for the LGBTIQ+ community. It was presented at the ILGA Europe Conference in Ljubljana and received widespread engagement across digital and physical platforms.
As a freelance graphic designer, this project was a testament to my ability to translate social values into compelling visuals and create a unified, impactful campaign from concept to execution. I am eager to bring this same dedication, creativity, and strategic vision to future collaborations.
