DryKing Tourism Career - Connecting Talents with the Hospitality Industry

I solved the challenge of creating a seamless platform where hotels can easily connect with job seekers, enabling both parties to efficiently manage job postings, profiles, and communication in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Project Overview

The DryKing Tourism Career platform addresses the challenge of connecting hotels with qualified candidates in the tourism industry. Our project aimed to design a user-friendly platform that allows hotels to manage job postings, events, and blogs, while candidates can easily create profiles, apply for jobs, and stay updated with industry trends. The platform is designed to be fully responsive, enhancing usability across all devices.

Key Goals and Deliverables

Our key objectives were to:
Design a flexible, scalable design system tailored for the tourism and hospitality industry.
Deliver an intuitive UX for both employers and job seekers, making it easy to navigate and interact with the platform.
Create responsive, visually appealing landing and dashboard pages optimized for user engagement.
Provide tools for easy profile and job posting management, with built-in messaging and filtering systems for enhanced user interaction.

Project Framework

The scope of the project included:
Designing a comprehensive design system for consistency and scalability.
Creating user-friendly landing and dashboard pages for employers and employees.
Conducting user research and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
Building an intuitive messaging system and job filtering tools to improve hiring efficiency.
Ensuring all designs were fully responsive and optimized for both desktop and mobile use.

Approach and Communication with Stakeholders

Our approach involved thorough collaboration with stakeholders, including frequent feedback sessions, user testing, and design workshops. We prioritized transparency and clarity, ensuring that stakeholder input guided the design process from the early stages of user research and wireframing to the final user interface design. Regular updates helped keep everyone aligned with the project goals and timeline.

Problems

During the project, we faced challenges such as:
Balancing the needs of two distinct user groups: employers (hotels) and employees (job seekers).
Designing a robust filter system for job seekers that would accommodate various criteria without overwhelming users.
Ensuring a consistent user experience across multiple devices, particularly on mobile, for smooth job application processes.

Goals

Our primary goals were:
Develop a scalable design system that serves both hotel employers and job seekers.
Create an intuitive user interface that makes posting and applying for jobs seamless.
Implement advanced filters and messaging tools that streamline the recruitment process in the tourism sector.

Result

The final product was a fully responsive, user-centric platform that bridges the gap between employers and employees in the tourism and hospitality industry. Through intuitive design and comprehensive functionality, we created a platform where job seekers can easily find opportunities, and employers can manage job posts, profiles, and interactions with minimal effort, leading to faster and more effective hiring.
