Smart Checkout & Promo Slider CMS for Portugal E-commerce

Overview: We developed a fully customized e-commerce checkout and a dynamic homepage promo slider CMS for a Portugal-based store using Wix Studio + Velo. The goal: automate complex local shipping costs, enable flexible payment options, and let the store owner easily update promotions without manual coding.

🔍 Challenge:

Automate shipping fees by postal code:

Mainland: Free shipping over €30, €4 below.

Islands: Extra fees, dynamic by region.

Cash on Delivery: Extra €9 mainland, €21 islands.

Integrate multiple payment methods: MbWay, Multibanco, credit/debit, PayPal, COD.

Deliver orders in 36h via carrier.

Allow easy updates of promo banners/sliders directly in the CMS.

💡 My Role & Solution:

Built a Velo logic that reads CEP, applies shipping rules, updates cart total in real-time.

Designed a dynamic CMS collection for homepage promo sliders — client manages banners & offers easily.

Ensured mobile-first UX for shopping, checkout & payment.

Provided clear backend structure so the store owner updates everything — no dev needed.
