Alpaca Health is more than just a tool - it’s a lifeline for independent ABA therapists juggling admin, scheduling, and client care. When the Alpaca team came to us, they had a clear goal: build a fully custom platform from the ground up that actually works the way therapists do.

In just a few days, we kicked off the first designs. Within weeks, we built an end-to-end system: from session scheduling and real-time data logging to a family portal that simplifies communication with caregivers.

Over 200+ responsive screens later, Alpaca became a fully-fledged vertical SaaS product built specifically for the mental health space - elegant, fast, and designed to reduce cognitive load.

This was a full partnership: product design, design system, UX strategy, and marketing site - all aligned with Alpaca’s mission to empower therapists, not distract them.

Alpaca Health is a vertical SaaS platform built to help independent ABA therapists (Applied Behavior Analysis) manage every aspect of their practice - from billing and scheduling to real-time behavioral data tracking.

Alpaca had a bold vision but no interface yet. They needed a team to help them design the entire product from scratch, as well as a marketing website that resonated with ABA professionals and their unique needs.

I led UX/UI efforts across both product and marketing, including:

UX Strategy for the entire platform: scheduling, billing, notes, and data collection

Design of a Family Portal to let caregivers track invoices, sessions, and responsibilities

A component-based design system for healthcare-specific use cases

High-fidelity, developer-ready Figma files for over 200+ responsive screens

Website design aligned with brand tone - calm, professional, and trust-building

Weekly collaboration with founders and engineers for fast iteration

We introduced a new “Family Responsibility” flow to improve communication with families - letting multiple caregivers view responsibilities, pay bills, and receive updates. This directly reduced confusion and support requests by at least 40%.

First working product version shipped in under 1 month

The Family Portal feature decreased payment delays and improved transparency

A flexible UI system enabled Alpaca to rapidly scale new modules
