SH is a healthcare platform that provides alternative healthcare to its customer. This is an extensive project within Designing Onboarding within a Healthcare

The Problem Space

As I am finishing up the onboarding processes for practitioners with the same healthcare platform, I was introduced to another problem regarding the tagging system within SH is not benefiting practitioners to get seen or matched with potential customers.

Our practitioners are saying:

Why can't my customers find my page or my services?



☹ Current Tagging System is flawed

  • Overlaps of categories and subcategories across products, services and business profile
  • Practitioner's products and services can get discovered under the right tag but the same tag could not be applied to a business profile, resulting in only business profiles could not be discovered or searched
  • Current practitioners put all kinds of tags that is unrelated to their business onto their business profile just to HOPE their business profile get exposure to the potential customer

✵ Solution

  1. Map out the current categorization is distributed across products, services and business profile
  2. Figure out which ones are overlapping
  3. Create a funneling method: Business profile > Services or Products

Project Goal

  1. Refresh the tagging system in a manner that prioritizes Business Profile under discovery and flush the main tags to put the business profile in their own categories
  2. All Services and Products will have distinct tags available according to which kind of business profile it is under. This will eliminate the possibility of "re-tagging" or "mis-tagging" resulting in inaccurate search results on the customer's end.
  3. A Potential Match - Making Algorithm in both customer and business matching as a promotion to business profiles to the right customer

Re-structuring the overlapped categories into two levels:

  • Business profile categories
  • Services and Products categories (aka "main tag")

Design

Within the Add a Service or Product page, practitioners are able to select from suggested tags that are generated based on the Business Profile that is already set up.
