Payment Automation System with PayPal & Stripe in Adalo + Make.com Integration

Project Duration- 1 Week Tools Used- Adalo, Make.com (Integromat), Google Cloud Console, Stripe, PayPal, Gmail API, Google Sheets
🔹 About the Client’s Need
The client needed a complete payment automation system in their Adalo-based application. The system had to support -
Buyer payments via PayPal and Stripe
Google Sheets logging
Automated confirmation emails
Payouts to vendors via PayPal and Stripe
Webhooks between Adalo and Make.com
Google OAuth setup for Gmail notifications
---
🔸 My Deliverables (Milestone by Milestone)
---
🔹Milestone 1 – Adalo Buyer Payments via PayPal & Stripe
Scope
Set up PayPal & Stripe buttons inside Adalo for buyer payments.
Route each payment to the company’s PayPal account.
Ensure success/failure redirection logic works.
What I Delivered
PayPal & Stripe live buttons integrated into the “Select Payment” screen.
Payments successfully processed via both methods in sandbox/test mode.
Redirection to confirmation pages after successful payment.
Loom video walkthrough + working demo shared. ---
🔹Milestone 2 – Google Sheets Log + Gmail Notifications After Payment
Scope
Log every successful payment into Google Sheets (date, amount, quote ID, buyer email).
Send automatic email confirmation to buyers using Gmail.
What I Delivered
Google Sheets connected to Make.com scenario for logging quote/payment info.
Gmail module set up with Google OAuth credentials (under my own dev account for testing).
Shared Google OAuth setup guide with client for production use.
Shared working video of payment → sheet + email process.
🔹Milestone 3 – Vendor Payout After Delivery Approval (PayPal)
Scope
Once buyer approves delivery, release payment to vendor via PayPal Payouts API.
Send confirmation email to vendor.
 Log payout in Google Sheets.
What I Delivered
“Approve Payment to Vendor” button in Adalo.
Connected to Make.com webhook with full vendor/quote data.
Created PayPal Payouts scenario using HTTP module (client had no Make PayPal Payout support).
Payout logs and email confirmation working..
Tested with sandbox PayPal — client later provided test account for live test.
Document and scenario link shared.
🔹Milestone 4 – Vendor Payout via Stripe (On-Demand Transfer)
Scope
Implement Stripe payout logic (connected account or external).
Add Stripe Webhook for auto-payout trigger.
Custom action in Adalo to trigger Stripe Payout via Make.
What I Delivered
Created separate Stripe Connect test flow with a “Stripe Test” button.
Configured HTTP and Stripe payout module (optionally tested both).
Setup JSON payload in Adalo to send quote/vendor info.
Verified successful payout trigger in Make.com with logs.
Stripe test cards used for full sandbox test.
Stripe flow was decoupled for easier QA, as client was actively changing screens. ---
🔸 Challenges Overcome
Make.com lacked native PayPal Payout support → solved with raw HTTP module + auth header.
Gmail email couldn’t be tested on client account initially → used Google Cloud OAuth temporarily.
Client made multiple UI/UX changes during testing → adapted flows accordingly.
Adalo's custom action restrictions → used workarounds like direct webhook posts and external link triggers.
✅ Final Deliverables Summary
Full payment workflow in Adalo using PayPal & Stripe (Buyer > Company > Vendor).
Logs in Google Sheets for all transactions.
Email confirmations using Gmail.
Admin control to approve payouts.
Test and Live versions tested.
Step-by-step Loom videos + Google Docs shared for each milestone.
⭐ Client Outcome
Fully functional no-code payment system.
Both Stripe and PayPal options for buyers and vendors.
Email + spreadsheet tracking for transparency.
Easy-to-use and maintain payment workflow.
Thank You :)
