Sketching ideas
I always start my projects with some introductive tasks: research and sketching. Both are deeply connected and coexist in the same time for me. These tasks are going to define the shapes, shades and feelings of the piece, thats why they are so relevant.
As you can see I play with the world arround this scene... how people are?, and how are their daily routines? These are some common questions I ask my self while making sketches.
Modelling and animation
Here is where the hard work starts. Modelling feels so natural for me now. It is a special space where everything is possible and there´s always something new to learn. This thrives me to go further and further.
Rigging and animation is the opposite of technical work. Yes, of course, it has a lot of technique involved but it will always be defined by "what feels right". Thats why I explore and experiment with different weights on my shapes and new riggs and actions.
For this biker scene I was so into the animation of the body that I almost forgot the overall feeling of the scene. I knew how I wanted the scene to look but I had to make it happen. Thats why I kept on working and finishing the scene.
Final thoughts
This rider scene has a deep idea on mind which is: I can be professional.
I love to make beautiful, creepy, huge, tiny, horrofying, cute... characters, but sometimes the client doesnt need all those feelings in the character but on the scene. Thats why I made this to share my touch on standard characters that feel connected to their own environment.
