Quite a journey
This was an asset pack I made to share my skills on my social media. About that time I was starting my professional social media and, you know, it is quite complex for young artists to share and speak about their artworks. So I wanted to start just right.
The looks
I´ve always been amazed by retro videogames and I wanted to make my own set of classic RPG characters. Bearded grumpy dwarfs, old wizards, skeletons and little mischievous goblins. These came out from a sketch and modelled all of them in a creativity rush.
When I get deeply involved with a project, I tend to work faster and better. Thats why I spent some time collecting references to inspire myself. I look for images everywhere online and even on old magazines and books.
Designed to be useful
These characters are completely designed to be used on videogames and animations. All of them share common shapes and identities so you can relate them instantly.
A total of eight characters, designed, modelled, rigged, and textured ready to implement on videogames and animations. I did all of the modelling, rigging and texturing work on Blender.
I used a great technique to shade this characters based on simple texturing through a little image wich was my collor pallete. I selected flat colors to give the characters the looks i wanted. I used the same technique with emissive and metal materials, so all of the parts feel the same.
It was such a wonderfull project and Im so proud of them.
