Situation: A local restaurant had an outdated website with poor navigation, making it difficult for customers to find the menu and hindering online ordering. The website lacked a clear message (hero statement) and direction for visitors.
Complication: This resulted in a frustrating user experience, decreased online orders, and potentially missed business opportunities. Customers might have left the website without knowing what the restaurant offered or how to visit/order.
Question: How could the website be redesigned to improve user experience, encourage online orders, and drive customers to the restaurant?
Action: I implemented the following website improvements:
Enhanced Navigation: Simplified website navigation for easier access to all information, particularly the menu.
Streamlined Online Ordering: Introduced or improved online ordering functionality for increased customer convenience.
Prominent Hero Statement: Created a clear and concise hero statement to capture visitor attention and communicate the restaurant's value proposition.
Visible Location Information: Ensured the restaurant's address and location details were prominently displayed to encourage physical visits.
