Somnia event series Logo & Poster
Project overview
The client, a DJ from Germany, was launching a trance rave event series called SOMNIA. My task was to design the event logo and a poster for the first edition, setting a strong visual foundation for the brand.
My Role
Developed the event’s logo and visual identity
Designed the official launch poster
Created social media adaptations and print-ready files
Managed art direction, typography, and layout design

Process & Phases
Ideation
We began with reference sharing and moodboarding to define the project’s aesthetic. Communication was done over email and later Slack for faster collaboration.
Concept creation
I presented several initial poster concepts (similar to rough sketches) using Photoshop and Figma. After client feedback, we selected one direction to build on.
Iteration
This was the most intensive part of the process. The first approved concept was later replaced with a stronger layout. We iterated extensively, refining visual hierarchy, textures, and type until we reached a design we were both happy with.
Finalization
The final artwork was adapted for social media and prepared for DTP print using InDesign. I exported all deliverables in the correct formats and delivered the project along with an invoice.
Outcome
The project delivered a distinct launch identity for SOMNIA, aligning with its underground rave ethos and setting the tone for future editions.
