Client & Goal
The Faculty of Engineering at the Slovak Technical University needed a brochure to attract prospective students. The goal was to present their modern, technology-driven courses and emphasize the hands-on learning environment - showcasing how students engage with real-world tools, labs, and cutting-edge equipment.
Process & Phases
Discovery & Planning
The project was part of a selective hiring process. I approached it as a fully realized design task, focusing on clarity, structure, and academic credibility. I began with research into similar educational brochures and planned a clear content structure based on the provided materials.
Visual Design
The front cover features an AI generated robot (as per client's request) representing the fusion of engineering and modern tech. I also designed custom vector elements in a gradient inspired by heat maps used in engineering software. These graphics tied the whole thing together thematically without overpowering the design.
Layout & Typography
The interior of the brochure was created entirely in Adobe InDesign and designed to accommodate a text-heavy layout with clear typographic hierarchy. Content was divided into digestible sections for easier navigation while maintaining consistency and professionalism.
Finalization
I prepared the final files for high-quality print with correct resolution, bleed, and export settings. Deliverables included, a print-ready PDF, editable source files, and the final mockup you can see above.
