I collaborated with a German electronic music artist to create cohesive visuals for their upcoming LP, covering both digital and vinyl releases.
My Role
Refined the front cover, based on existing 3D assets
Designed the back cover from scratch
Created vinyl label artwork
Ensured print-ready formatting by researching vinyl layout standards (my first vinyl project!)
Process & Tools
We kicked off with moodboarding and extensive creative discussions to align on the style. The design evolved through several iterations, especially on the back cover (4 final versions). I used:
Illustrator – for layout and vector precision, mainly on the labels
Photoshop – for image treatment and texture work
Key edits included repainting the 3D model’s eye, enhancing skin texture, adding post-processing effects and crafting the labels from scratch
Outcome
The client was especially happy with the vinyl label early on, which allowed us to focus on typography and layout refinement across the rest of the project. The LP is currently on track to be released this month.
