E-Mail Automation for premium food brand

Initial Situation

Alpahirt has a strong brand. The company is knows for high quality meat products that can be enjoyed with a clear conscious. Most customers love the brand and are coming back for me. Perfect starting conditions for automated e-mail flows.
The freelancer hired to set-up the initial flows was not careful enough. Too many mails were sent to the customers within a short timeframe, annoying the customer and putting the brand in danger for being flagged by google and Yahoo! as bulk sender. On top of that, the e-mails were designed in a way that makes it hard to change sections that are repeated in various e-mails (like dynamic product recommendations). For example, to change the CTA, we had to go through every single e-mail and change it manually, although this should be a global element that can be bulk changed across all flows.
So we stepped in.

What did we do?

Revamp and setup new flows

We went through all the flows, enabled smart sending and filters so our customers receive less e-mails, but intentionally when they are more likely to open and engage with them. This immediately increased our open rate, click rate and subsequently revenue per recipient. The flows we use are:
Abondened Cart
Abondened Site
Welcome Flow (For new Newsletter Subscribers)
First-Purchase Flow
Recommendation Flow
Replenishment & restocking email
Win-Back-Emails (including deletion of inactive users to minimize Klaviyo costs)

Professionalized and systemized Layout

The Design follows the design language of the website to foster a cohesive brand experience. Buttons look the same, colors are the same. Everything feels familiar.
We use Global Sections to be able to quickly make changes across multiple e-mail templates. This is absolutely crucial. Even if you don't hire me, make sure whoever you hire does that.
Here an example of how that looks like:
As you see, it takes less than 15 seconds here to make changes across all e-mails that use this section. We have sections that are used in up to 60 e-mails...imagine changing every single one of them.

Define and execute A/B Test Strategy

We do constant A/B testing of subjects, CTA's and whole sections to ensure we offer value to every recipient.
We provide monthly reportings for our client's files, so he can learn from all the data we gather.
