Building for scale and ease of navigation from a UX standpoint gets pretty challenging, so I had to come up with a simple filtering solution. I decided on two main filters: the tools used by the creators and the category each submission falls into.

The tools filter is set up as a multi-select, so you can choose multiple options at once, and the page will be populated with posts created using those tools while also combining the selected category. While this may seem like a simple and seamless system on the surface, it actually has a fairly complex back-end setup.

For some of the filtering features and small tweaks, I also used custom code. For example, when you select multiple tools, a small scrollable list appears inside the filters button, and you can also see how many tools are selected at any time, since the list gets pretty long.

I created a system where each post has its own dedicated CMS page, since previewing posts in a static overlay on the main feed doesn’t allow each post to have its own permalink.

Each creator has their own profile, where visitors can view all of the work they have submitted. This makes it easy to learn more about each creator’s work, check their links to other platforms, and maybe even generate leads or get hired. Ultimately, this curated platform aims to showcase the best talent out there, inspire others, and help clients find their best match.

Submitting work is designed to be easy, fast, and straight to the point. Creators can submit various details about their work, include images or videos, choose their tools and category, and—most importantly, since this is a curated platform with a non-AI requirement—provide proof of how they made the work.

Submissions are then reviewed and either approved or declined. This process helps ensure the directory stays clean, authentic, and true to its principles.

This entire website directory was built in Framer. When the platform’s limitations started to show, custom code was used. Ultimately, the platform is live already, getting thousands of views and tens of submissions daily.
