encoway delivers software and consulting that help manufacturers digitize and simplify sales of complex, configurable products through CPQ and product configuration. They wanted an eye-catching 3D-animated landing page to impress clients and attract new ones for their main SaaS product.

Create a stunning, eye-catching 3D animation sequence of a fictional photorealistic product that will work with a scrolling/swiping interaction.

Together with the art director and lead designer, Oliver Tschernick, we analyzed a few examples and brainstormed with the help of AI to come up with additional ideas that fit Oliver's brilliant visual direction.

The main features we wanted to convey was sturdiness (hard metal case), complexity (glass case that shows the inside components) and electronics (there's a PCB inside). Using kitbash sets, I assembled a few product examples together.

I was responsible not only for animating the 3D device. To animate the UI design elements, I used Blender's Geometry Nodes to create elements that resemble the original design, and that can also easily and quickly animate.

My final delivery file was a video that's manipulated in the website using React. The design was brilliantly implemented by Pascal Heynol, who timed the animation to play correctly with different sections of the landing page.
