About ADR Speaks

ADR Speaks is a podcast series on issues related to electoral & political reforms. It focuses on the findings of ADR reports analysing background details of candidates, sources of political parties' income, election expenditure, Electoral Bonds etc. In these episodes, ADR breaks down key findings of its reports for simple understanding & accessibility to the general public, enabling them to make an informed choice. ADR podcast will also host discussions with experts, research scholars, public intellectuals, former election officials etc. on issues concerning India's democratic politics.

How ADR Speaks Podcast started

Association for Democratic Reforms(ADR) (adrindia.org) is a non-profit non-government organization working continuously for the past 20 years in India to eradicate the influence of money and muscle power in elections and to bring about electoral reforms. The organization creates and release reports on various issues in electoral politics and funding of political parties in India. During the COVID pandemic elections were still on large in India and the organization wanted to reach out to more people via podcasts in different languages.

Following were the deliverable on which I had worked with the organization

• Consulting for the set up and hardware required for recording
• Editing and fine tuning the audio recording done by the podcasters
• Setting up of Anchor.fm account
• Publishing and release of episodes
• Creating episode templates
• Creating social media post for each episode and other branding related work

The organization has published more than 50+ episodes in English, Hindi, Marathi and Malayalam and has 3000+ listeners.
