Web design - The Living Room Lounge

The Living Room is a lounge in Burnaby, Vancouver that specializes in hookas and offers a unique and upscale experience. They host custom events and provide a premium middle-eastern atmosphere.

Their previous website was a simple one, without any functionality other than contact details and a few images. It wasn't fit for their brand and it didn't address their digitalization needs.

A new website was needed. One with booking functionality for their tables, a custom and complex event inquiry form, and a digital menu that showcases the quality of their products and hookas. Their entire website infrastructure, including the hosting, had to be changed as well.

We started by analyzing their brand and what were their business and digitalization goals. After many hours of designing and planning the layout of the website, I was able to provide a design that fits the brand and come up with eye-catching functionalities.

They have an amazing space and I had to showcase that somehow, so I've built a visual table booking system, where the user clicks on a table in the floor plan and books it straight away. This also improves the user experience because you can book exactly the table you want.

The backend lets the admins manage bookings, offer refunds, and see all the other details about their online presence. For the payments, I had to integrate a less known payment processor, that works only in Canada.

This website shows the importance of a well-thought project, that takes into account the needs and expectations of the client. We should always try to find solutions for the business's problems and design products that exceed their expectations.
