In this project, I had the privilege of contributing to the design and development of three integral pages for cargo.one, a leading platform that revolutionizes the booking process for air cargo. Focused on the Emirates partnership page, the Pricing information page, and the Customers page, my role was pivotal in enhancing the user interface and overall experience, aligning with cargo.one’s objective to provide seamless service to air cargo carriers and their clients.

Design Process

Collaboration and Planning

The project commenced with a collaborative phase where I worked closely with the sales and marketing teams at cargo.one. Leveraging their insights from previous research and refined wireframes, we were able to pinpoint the essential features and information that needed prominence on each page. This collaborative effort was crucial in setting a clear direction for the design and functionality of the pages, ensuring they met the specific needs of users and the business objectives of cargo.one and Emirates.

Design

Utilizing Figma, I developed the design concepts with an emphasis on simplicity, navigability, and consistency with the cargo.one brand. This phase was characterized by iterative design enhancements, informed by collaborative feedback and aimed at optimizing user engagement and accessibility.
Emirates Page: For the cargo.one Emirates collaboration page, I focused on showcasing the innovative software solutions and the comprehensive range of features offered through our partnership with Emirates. The page serves as a portal for users to understand how cargo.one's platform revolutionizes air cargo bookings with Emirates, emphasizing efficiency, accessibility, and the advanced capabilities of our system.
Pricing Page: For the cargo.one Pricing page, I developed a straightforward and transparent presentation that demystifies the platform's pricing structure for its users. The focus was on delivering clarity around costs, showcasing the value proposition of cargo.one's services with an emphasis on simplicity and honesty. By integrating elements that allow users to easily understand how pricing works and what factors influence costs, the page serves as an essential resource for prospective and current users alike. This design effort was rooted in enhancing user satisfaction by providing clear, accessible information, reinforcing trust in cargo.one's commitment to transparency and fairness in pricing.
Customers Page: In designing the cargo.one Customers page, I aimed to create an engaging platform that celebrates the diverse and successful collaborations between cargo.one and its global clientele. This page is a vibrant testament to the impactful solutions cargo.one provides, featuring detailed case studies and testimonials from satisfied customers. The design highlights the tangible benefits experienced by users of the platform, from streamlined booking processes to improved operational efficiencies.

Development

The development phase was carried out on Webflow, which allowed for an efficient translation of design to a fully functional, responsive website. Emphasis was placed on ensuring the site was adaptable across various devices and browsers, with a keen focus on optimizing load times and interactive elements for an enhanced user experience.
Webflow Development: Leveraged Webflow's powerful platform to implement the design with a high degree of fidelity, ensuring a responsive and dynamic user experience without compromising on performance.
Performance and Responsiveness: Adopted best practices for web performance optimization, including efficient use of Webflow’s native capabilities for image optimization and seamless responsiveness.

Outcome

The redesign and development of the Emirates, Pricing, and Customers pages have markedly improved user engagement and conversion rates on cargo.one. The Emirates page, in particular, serves as a cornerstone in showcasing the partnership with Emirates, drawing more carriers and shippers to the platform. This project stands as a testament to the impact of strategic design and development in enhancing online platforms.

Retrospective

Updating cargo.one's key pages taught me a lot about mastering Webflow and sharpening my UI/UX design techniques. Diving into the air cargo industry opened up a new world of insights, blending tech skills with a deeper understanding of user needs. It was an enriching experience that struck the perfect balance between learning complex web development strategies and keeping things practical and user-friendly.
