Social Camel - Brand Identity Design

Social Camel is a video production studio based in Birmingham, UK. The client wanted a fun, on-the-nose brand identity that included puns galore. As Social Camel is a video production agency we had considered including an asset that represented the video aspect of the business.

When I first started chatting with the client he was inspired by my own brand colour palette and requested something similar to my primary brand colour. We started exploring desert colour palettes and once we decided on some red, orange and yellow shades we decided to brighten it all up to add that fun, playful and unique aspect. We considered a huge number of brand assets and finally landed back on the simple camel design along with a brand initial motif.

As soon as I found both the primary/logo font and the secondary font I knew they were perfect for this brand. The rounded letters give a nod to the camel's humps and the rolling sand dunes of the desert. I used two different weights for the words 'social' and 'camel' which added some depth and interest to the text-based main logo as well as ensuring legibility and uniqueness.
