Montana Wildflora Playing Card Deck Design

Designing a deck of playing cards had been a bucket list item for me. For my first deck I was inspired by wildflowers found in my home state of Montana. I set out to paint watercolor illustrations including 52 flowers, berries, trees, and 2 mushroom jokers. For the box cover and card backs I arranged a selection of the flowers in a whimsical mandala shape.

Since creating these cards in 2020 I’ve sold thousands of decks in boutiques across the state and gone on to utilize these illustrations in numerous design projects from wedding stationery to business logos.
