Wrote a script and produced feature for CNN

South Asian weddings are known for being huge and lavish affairs. During the pandemic, however, South Asian couples were forced to shift these celebrations online and say "I do" through the screen. Watch how South Asian couples and wedding planners adapt to the new virtual wedding norm.

In 2021, I completed a journalism fellowship at CNN in Abu Dhabi where I was trained in video editing, production, and fieldwork. At the end of my fellowship, CNN funded me to produce a feature about a story I pitched about virtual weddings during the Coronavirus pandemic.

1) Wrote the script for this production and got it approved by the editor

2) Conducted 15+ pre-interviews to finalize 3-4 people that I will interview for this feature.

4) Worked with a photojournalist to edit the final video using voiceovers and available footage

The CNN leadership team appreciated and hand-picked my visual production to air on CNN's "Connect The World" show.
