Kendall Jenner Named New Creative Director of FWRD

From launching her tequila brand this year and returning to the runway, Kendall Jenner has another big announcement to make — she is now a creative director of luxury e-retailer FWRD

“As a lover of fashion, and having been incredibly fortunate to work with some of the most brilliant people in this business, I’ve learned so much over the years,” the 25-year-old model shared on Instagram. “As @fwrd new creative director, I am excited to learn even more and help curate the site’s offering with emerging designers and brands! Stay tuned! #KJxFWRD #KendallsEdit.”

As creative director, Jenner will be responsible for “the look and feel of the FWRD’s site,” according to a press release. She’ll also curate her own edit of designers and trends for customers to shop, with the first items including brands like Acne Studios, Bottega Veneta, The Row and Balenciaga.

The model will begin her creative director duties during New York Fashion Week, which kicks off on September 8th. Special attention will be paid to supporting aspiring and independent designers.

“I hope, in some small way, this is a chance to give more emerging creatives this kind of platform,” Jenner told Vogue. “I work with a tremendous amount of people who not only inspire my high fashion but also my day-to-day choices. The digital space is such an important tool for many of today’s creatives, and it’s a window into the next generation of talent.”

The collaboration with Kendall was celebrated by the FWRD team with a special campaign by photographer Glen Luchford and stylist Carlos Nazario. In the published footage, stunning Jenner shows off new items from the autumn-winter collections in a special campaign.

FWRD is owned by Revolve Group, which prides itself for its digital savviness to engage with millennial and Gen Z consumers.
