Designing a modern healthy sparkling drink packaging

Project overview

AIRA is a modern healthy sparkling drink brand built on one simple idea: refreshment first, health second.
The brief for Lime Breeze was to design a single hero product that could feel like a Sprite replacement but without sugar, sweeteners, or visual noise.
This case study covers how I:
Defined the brand philosophy
Designed a calm, premium visual system
Created the final can packaging
Used AI to generate high-quality product mockups
All visuals in this project are AI-generated, guided by strict brand rules.

Brand thinking & positioning

Before touching visuals, I anchored the brand around three principles:

1. Lightness over loudness

No heaviness in taste, design, or messaging.
White space is not emptiness, it’s a feature.

2. Radical clarity

Say exactly what the product is.
No health gimmicks. No buzzwords.

3. Calm premium

Premium like Muji or Aesop — not flashy, not decorative.
These principles directly shaped every design decision

Product 1: Lime Breeze

Ingredients:
Lime + Mint + Himalayan Salt
Goal:
Create a drink that feels:
Instantly refreshing
Summer vibes
Visually quiet yet confident
This flavour had to carry the brand alone. It would set the tone for everything that followed.

Visual system & typography

Typography

Logo: Manrope
Flavours, Descriptors & legal text: Inter, used intentionally for trust and clarity
Tracking, sizing, and hierarchy were carefully controlled so the can feels breathable, not empty

Color & finish

Soft lime → white gradient
Matte feel, no harsh contrast
Nothing shiny, nothing shouting
The can should feel like cool air, not advertising.

Packaging design

The final Lime Breeze can focuses on:
Vertical flavour name for calm confidence
Minimal copy
Clear ingredient visibility
Quiet trust strip (“No Sugar • No Sweeteners • No Preservatives”)
Every element earns its place, anything unnecessary was removed.

AI-driven mockups

Instead of traditional 3D renders, I used AI to:
Generate realistic product shots
Maintain consistent lighting & proportions
Quickly explore compositions for marketing use
AI allowed me to move faster without compromising taste acting as a creative multiplier, not a shortcut.

This project set the foundation for AIRA as a calm and modern beverage brand.
