Project Overview
Cloud Atlas is an interactive web experience inspired by the narrative structure of the film. It makes connections across eras, characters and identities easier to read by turning a complex story into an explorable visual system.
The experience is organized into three visualizations: a timeline of the six stories, a network of character relationships and a map of the reincarnations portrayed by the same actors. The interactions move from the overall structure to individual details while preserving their connection to the film.
Created for the Computer Graphics Lab at Politecnico di Milano, the project combines web design, data visualization and cinematic storytelling through D3.js, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Within the team, I worked on the interactive experience, translated the narrative structure into visualizations and contributed to the frontend development.
I helped organize timelines, character relationships and reincarnations into explorable views, then implemented them with D3.js, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
