Bin & Bao: A Website You Can Almost Taste

Michael Bellout

The starting point Bin & Bao serves steamed baos in Envigado, Medellín, along with burgers, hot dogs and bowls. The website had to feel as playful and generous as the food, and make ordering easy.
The idea The site opens from inside a paper takeaway bag: a hand lifts a bao into a blue sky, as if the order just arrived. Blue and white checker bands, taken from the food wrap, stitch the sections together, while looping titles and the mascot Billy keep the street food energy going all the way down the page.
What I built
An animated, layered hero scene and a custom loading screen
A tabbed menu that makes the full range easy to browse, with clear prices
Combos presented like stickers, plus a section for booking the food cart
Location details for each site and ordering through WhatsApp
A full Spanish and English version, designed for desktop and mobile
The result A website that gets people hungry first and gets them to their order quickly, with a look that could only belong to Bin & Bao.
