DACs (Decentralised Autonomous Communities) are essentially just digital organizations that use blockchain to do things that could never be done by traditional organizations because of it's decentralized structure. The DAC-Factory is a DAC builder software, that allows you to create your on DAC with your token economics, as well as the DAC-Client or software to interact with the system.
The DAC-Factory and the DAC-Client were moving targets and it was very hard to finally have a release date. It took 7 months of hearing "we're almost there", for investors to finally hire me, as project manager to be the translator of the developers jargon so that investors could understand if they should keep funding the project.
Implementing Scrum to track progress allowed me to generate monthly reports of what has been done, what's pending, and what was blocking the release of a project that was taking years to deliver.
Working as a translator between the DAC stakeholders, investors, funds custodians, and developers was a real challenge, as language and cultural barriers, new technological terms, edge and changing technologies, accumulated years of misunderstandings. I'm glad I was able to help all parties to be able to communicate each other their needs until we finally the project.
