Moshi – USB-C Explainer video

With Moshi on board, we at 1.61ojos decided to tackle the complex world of USB-C, breaking it down for the everyday tech lover. Drawing inspiration from the distinct and evocative styles of Nicolas Menard and Vincent Mahé, we embarked on a journey to communicate through visuals and sound.

Every great animation needs a rhythm, a pulse. For this, we had Ferdinand Gonzalez crafting the musical backdrop. Moshi brought their voice to the mix, providing a voiceover that became the project’s heartbeat.

Crafting Simplicity Starting with a voiceover-led storyboard, the animation came alive in a dance of 2D visuals, all created using Illustrator and After Effects. The challenge? Conveying the intricacies of USB-C using only three colors and distilled shapes. But, as always, constraints spurred creativity.

On the Clock Time wasn’t on our side. But in the face of tight schedules, we streamlined, focused, and delivered. The result? Moshi came back for more, requesting a second batch of infographics to further their message.

This wasn’t just another project. It was a conversation, a collaboration. Moshi’s positive response and their desire for a continued partnership showcased the power of translating complex tech jargon into digestible, engaging content.
