In 2014, the creative minds at Lamosca partnered with 161ojos Studio (then Raidho) for an ambitious endeavor: to create an animated infographic for an exclusive Penguin Books gathering. The mission? Narrate Penguin Inc.’s storied path since its reconstruction, all while weaving in the modernist design ethos championed by Lamosca and the expert guidance of JM Paadin.

Our journey began with a fortuitous introduction to JM Paadin, a renowned design academic based at the time in Mexico. Under Lamosca’s distinct visual direction, we embarked on a meticulous process, ensuring the final product seamlessly married modern design with historical narratives.

Crafting the Narrative Armed with a detailed storyboard from Lamosca, our two-month production phase was a dance of precision and creativity. The animations, while modern and geometric in nature, were fine-tuned in collaboration with Lamosca to capture the essence of Penguin Inc.’s historical relevance.

Synergy Across Borders Though separated by the vast distance between Mexico, London and Barcelona, our collaboration with the team overseas epitomized seamless international teamwork. This harmonious partnership, unhindered by miles, highlighted our shared dedication to excellence.

The unveiled animation resonated deeply with its audience, celebrated for its adept blend of Penguin Inc.’s historical tapestry with a fresh modernist touch.
