Client was a DDS, orthodontic surgeon and the owner of a very successful dental practice in Boston, MA. However, he had a long email list from his clients that he wasn't utilizing. He wanted to create a target email newsletter campaign, with the goal of increasing return visits and referrals to new clients.

Our Process

My client provided me with his company's business policies, vision and mission statement, as well as his brand identity. He showed me previous attempts at newsletters, pamphlets and marketing material he had used in the past. I focused on where he wanted to improve, and where he saw his vision for the future. Taking his goals of increasing return visits and referrals to new clients, we decided on the following deliverables for his new email newsletter:
News articles on dental health & wellness
Promotional & special offers targeted for returning patients
Reminders for patients to schedule appointments for yearly exams, dental cleanings, and follow-ups
Patient success stories
"What's New at Our Practice" & "Meet Our Team" messaging

Deliverables

Here's what I delivered:
Created, edited and implemented a once-a-week email newsletter with targeted messaging to past patients, focusing on a call-to-action to book a new appointment for yearly dental exams, cleanings, fillings & consultations
Conducted once-a-month check-in meeting with client to review monthly analytics, data, and plan for following month based on upcoming events & holidays

Results

Utilizing email marketing, newsletters & targeted messaging, clients can see a 25% increase in appointments scheduled by returning patients.
Referral rate can increase by 20% on average by making the business more visible and memorable to past clients, reminding them of their positive experience & encouraging them to refer new customers for an incentive.

Next Steps for the Future

Small businesses are often not utilizing their LinkedIn pages to maximum efficiency. As a future improvement, I can work with clients to use the content from email newsletters, and feed this into thoughtful & insightful LinkedIn posts & content. This will further increase your brand's visibility and attract brand new clients to your business.
