Rebake (Baker-To-Baker Marketplace)

Rebake is a special online marketplace made just for bakers. It’s a place where bakers can buy, sell, or trade baking items like tools, cookbooks, and ingredients. Many of these items are second-hand but still in great condition, making it easier and cheaper for bakers to get what they need.

My Role

I worked as the Lead Product Designer for Rebake. My main job was to design how the app looks and how it works. I made sure it was simple to use, looked clean and friendly, and helped users easily find or list items without confusion.

The Problem

Baking can be really expensive, especially for small bakery owners and people baking from home. Tools, pans, mixers, and ingredients cost a lot. At the same time, many bakers have items they no longer use like cake molds or cookbooks that are still in great shape but just sit unused. There wasn’t one trusted place where bakers could safely sell or buy these second-hand items. This meant that while some bakers struggled to afford supplies, others had items just collecting dust.

The Goal

We wanted to build a simple app where bakers can:
Sell baking tools, ingredients, or books they no longer use
Buy affordable, good quality items from other bakers
Find new tools and resources to help them bake better
The bigger idea behind Rebake is to save money, reduce waste and help bakers help each other by giving unused items a second life.
